You may think I’m crazy to want to go back on that hell, and maybe you’re right, but there are some communities I want to interact with, yet I am perma banned from there (no fault of my own, but another story) soooooo, how do I circumvent my ban? I already tried but I think they ipbanned me because the new account got instabanned

You can use TOR. It would be very inconvenient because Reddit usually forces you to fill out a bunch of captchas if you’re using TOR, but it does work. You can also try using a VPN, but that costs money whereas TOR is free. If you do decide to go for a VPN, I’d recommend Mullvad VPN.

  • The advice here is already ample so I need not tell all that. However, some things to add. Besides Mullvad, there are good options like IVPN, OVPN, AirVPN and Windscribe. Also, when you interact with Reddit, segregate your activity away from your political inclinations which is a trigger for toxic and/or dumb Reddit audience. Just extract the benefit from those places and do not form a warm fuzzy family like feeling for them.

While I personally would never go back if I got banned, because fuck Reddit, here are a few tips if you’re determined:

    1. Use a different browser. Like, completely different not just incognito mode. Reddit fingerprints browsers so they would know it’s you.

    2. Use a VPN, preferably one with a software interlock that disables internet access outside the VPN so you don’t leak your real IP. This is often called “internet killswitch” in their branding.

    3. Use an open source Reddit app along with your VPN. Not the official app. Slide for Reddit is a good one. Again, this has to do with Reddit identifying your means of access.

    4. Optional: Use the Tor browser which is like a more secure, fully integrated version of steps 1 and 2.

Though with using Reddit through both VPN and especially Tor, expect a ton of captchas and “you’re doing that too much, try again in x minutes” messages.

Honestly, there is no ban evasion. I know because I tried pretty hard to cover my tracks. I got banned through an alt and it affected all my accounts. That means the robot has your IP so whatever computer you were posting from is completely compromised. Plus, the way the site is designed, you’re account isn’t “real” until you get some karma which could take days assuming you aren’t shadowbanned immediately.

I created an alt after getting banned like 2-3 years ago so I don’t know anymore I think ever since they became more US-state affiliated they’ve probably cracked down on alts

  • I figure hell needs radicalization the most, out here is preaching to the choir and such. Just gotta move real real slow for the giant Trex on any sort of agripop (be clear enough you may trip the right people but vague enough there’s no cause to bite), and say philosophy of Praxis like OG Gramsci in jail and similar ‘code’ even if it’s longer and not direct.

For ban evasion you’ll need a minimum of 3 things, vpn or way to change IP, a browser you can clean cookies out of and install some sort of fingerprint randomizer on, and lastly a way to virtualize or dual boot 2 OSes.

To be extra safe a way to change your typetext if you can’t catch yourself, that is to change your unique writing style and voice. If you used emojis a lot on the banned account, well you don’t now. If you type long sentences and weave long tales like you’re double PhD in Writing, well now you write like you’re a teen in a rush on Twitter. Change personal details, and don’t you dare reuse the same passwords or emails. Also don’t subscribe to the same subs, a few of the same is plausible but more than that raises suspicion.
