What can i say except it’s about fucking time. We are an unserious, rude, arrogant and at the same time pathetic and spineless country. We go around the world acting like we are superior, not just toward the global south but even toward the eastern and southern Europeans, but then when it comes to Washington we are their most cucked and subservient vassal.

So why would any sovereign country take us seriously when we are obviously a client state. Might as well cut out the middle man and talk directly to the overlord.

Hopefully this happens more and more often to western countries. The more the global south tells Europe and the Anglo-Americans to fuck off the better.

I got the sense that many Germans were not so on board anymore with US and that it really dragged its feet chipping in for Ukraine. Is that wrong?

Yes, that is wrong. Our government is even too scared to investigate the Nordstream bombing, because everyone knows it’ll reveal it was the US. Remember this is the same country that did absolutely nothing when it was revealed that this same ostensible “ally” was spying on the previous chancellor and tapping her phone. The reason it looked like we were “dragging our feet” is because our military is in an absolutely deplorable state and sometimes doesn’t even have enough material to equip and train its own soldiers let alone someone else’s.

That being a consequence of the pathological stupidity and ineptitude of the previous defense ministers (one of which was Ursula Von Der Leyen, who as reward for her incompetence was made president of the European Commission, i.e. head of the EU). Luckily this is not likely to change soon and the chronic problems will persist. Unfortunately that doesn’t matter too much because the US still has dozens of bases and thousands of soldiers here and as a result more Ukronazis are trained in Germany than anywhere else.

Even France is less pathetic than we are, at least they have the guts to occasionally offer some token resistance to the US, but they too got cucked with the AUKUS submarine deal and did basically nothing.

Europe as a whole is completely dominated by the US. Nobody really has the guts to say no to them, and most don’t actually want to. European governments are filled with alumni of various NED programs and ivy league universities that are designed to churn out politicians and NGO members who are completely ideologically in line with the neoliberal imperialist agenda and who serve US interests first and foremost above those of their own countries. Even countries like Serbia where the population has a massive historic grudge against the US somehow has ended up with a spineless and mostly compliant liberal in charge.

        • Our government is even too scared to investigate the Nordstream bombing

Keep in mind, it’s entirely possible that the German government was informed about the Nordstream bombing before it happened. If this is true, Olaf Scholz will be trialed for treason. This would explain why they really don’t want to investigate what happened.

I’m like 70% sure Germany were in on it in some capacity.

There is an old clip where Biden says in a press event that if Russia invades Ukraine Nordstream 2 will not happen. A reporter is perplexed. She asks how the USA has any say in that considering that it is a project between Russia and Germany.

Olaf was there beside Biden. He was asked what he thought about what Biden said. He had a sly smile plastered on his face the kind you see on the face of a spineless underling. He just said Germany and USA would act as one.

So Germany knew that this would happen and at the very best (if you want to be generous) did nothing to avert it. Most likely they knew about the operation at least.

That would never happen. When is the last time Germany tried anyone for treason? He would at most be forced to resign and then get some cushy job in either the private sector, the EU bureaucracy, some NGO or maybe even at NATO. Politicians who do Washington or Brussels’ bidding at the expense of the interests of their own countries get rewarded, that’s just how Europe works.

How is the situation among the people? Is there any understanding of the position they are in and what is the general opinion of nordstream sabotage?

The vast majority are completely propagandized. The media situation is much worse in Germany than even in the US, there is virtually no opposition media whatsoever, every major tv channel peddles the exact same liberal Atlanticist propaganda, and the same goes for all the important radio programs that people listen to while driving. There are a minority of people who go against the grain but they tend to be of anti-vax conspiracy theory crowd and are derogatorily labeled “Querdenker” (lit. transl.: “oblique thinkers”). They are generally seen as equivalent to the Qanon crowd in the US. The sole voices in parliament against the mainstream narrative and against the war are a few dissidents of the Left (Die Linke) Party, which is a very small party to begin with, and otherwise all of the opposition comes from the AfD which is a xenophobic nationalist petty-bourgeois party with ties to neonazis. The rest are fully convinced that Putin is basically Hitler and if not stopped in Ukraine will march on Germany - that’s essentially what the media tells us 24/7.

There may be a lot of people who suspect that it was probably the US that bombed the pipeline but they generally tend to stay silent and if pressed will say something like “yeah maybe they did it but what can we do, it would ruin our relations with the US to accuse them, and we need them to protect Europe from Russia”.

There also is almost zero class consciousness, and Germans in general have a very parochial, petty-bourgeois mentality, where entrepreneurship and home ownership are almost as worshipped as in the US, and even the unions, despite being very large and widespread, have long since been co-opted or neutered. There is some worker participation on company boards but too many people think that workers’ representatives and management should co-operate for the greater good of the company. They lack any and all mentality of class antagonism and refuse to see that the interests of workers are diametrically opposed to those of the owners. The social welfare state (and the way they are educated and taught in school about it) has basically convinced them that class conciliation is how you build a good society. This is exactly the social fascism that Stalin referred to.
