Holy…! Thanks for mentioning Commet this is so much better than Element - I think there is a good chance I can move people to Matrix using this!

Wow, what an unfortunately delightful article.
Side load it? Don’t you mean install it, the Play Store is not the only way to get apps

Woah, cool idea! I wonder how feasible that would be.

This is the way.

Ahh, got it - it sucks ass

*kicks ass?

Manitoba did as well

Super neat, when I had Windows, I had it so that when a Teams call started it set my room lights to a nice ambient, and turned on a ring light, as well as turned on a icon on my dashboard that let me partner know I was in a call in the office.
That would legit get me to pay them or donate or something. Such a hilarious idea.
Same, too busy upvoting and moving on as usual…
Beautiful, this is the kind of content that inspires me to work on my Bionicle ttrpg setting book for D&D, GURPS and more.
This is a vision I could get behind, and I already do a ton of self-hosting for that stuff! The theoretical simplification, easier conceptual understanding, and easier portability would all be very nice plusses over what we have now.
Buy it does feel a bit to me like creating just one more perfect standard, and then we will have our fracultured world, but with 14 standards…
Actually it is my fault, I intentionally enjoy shitty superhero movies!

I just found and set up Gameyfin (a play on Jellyfin). Still in the testing it out phase, but I love the idea of a collection of my friends and my DRM free games that we can all share with less reliance on big companies.
I don’t think so (I could be wrong) it seemed to me like a telling of the same god machine but from a different perspective. Either way, I’m he kinda person who goes and re-reads the Bionicle wiki for fun sometimes though, so…
I loved reading about this last time, and I lived reading about it again this time - super creative, very inspiring.
Oh wow, if this is it, then it’s really not bad at all - easy to setup, client side, easy to ignore, and easy enough for teens to get around it when they feel like learning how. I don’t hate this, other than the potential for a dangerous slide towards ID.
