i got my account nuked right after some burner account started asking me to add them to my sub. after politely declining, dude just went on comment bombing spree, so i banned him and them my account got stalked into permaban. Which is stupid because I don’t post political stuff

The same reddit that allowed to nuke my account based on false bot claims and then refused to roll it back even though the perpetrators conveniently deleted their accounts shortly afterwards? checks out

18·10 小时前it is case-dependent. not every honeypot operation is about gaining intelligence. some are just to discredit someone.

63·10 小时前that actually happened to one of my acquaintances a couple of years ago. hooked up with some girl at drone convention and she got arrested shortly afterwards for spying. he saw none of it - just got informed later on that he was about to get the honeypot treatment due to his work. dude was so scared he went ballistic on his digital footprint and won’t even talk to you if there’s any mic’ed device in his vicinity. if i ever saw a man “scared shitless” that was it
he was probably less dysfunctional than most of his contemporaries though

4·10 小时前what’s baffling is that modular desktops are probably a better long-term money making strategy for hardware makers. When you can cycle gear with ease - the temptation to try something new will be bigger.

8·10 小时前is it that hard just to a regular TV? i think with all the AI backlash and Smart TV fatigue that’s kinda a reasonable solution. Def won’t hurt anybody
now that’s a correct use of QR code stickers!
i used to slap my crew’s tags and qrs on random fruits and vegetable in the supermarkets all the time. the trick is to keep it low and have someone to divert attention while you dance around the section trying to appear merely clueless and not mischievous.
It was a thing in Ukraine during the 2020-2021 boom. the sheer amount of engineers who saved up enough money to buy a house in the nearby village communities before the 2022 invasion was legit insane. part of that was remote work, part of that was interest in growing your own things. i remember talking to one NLP engineer who legit planned an apple garden and wanted to transition into that business domain over time. in some other cases, folks wanted to have self-reliant sustainability (yeah, we kinda had doomsday preppers).
except when you’re sketching out your plan to rob a bank. in this case, your pencil is literally a narc.
yeah, and always online with GPS on

It’s not ok but that where we at.

technically, it’s not capitalism but free market that provides choices. capitalism kinda fucking hates free market.
