51·3 days agoThey’re better than other democrats I’ve seen but it’s clear that Democrats will not fix this. Democrats have not only been complicit, but many are actively supporting Trump. Another impeachment attempt is a waste of effort.
The dems are appropriating and sucking energy away from protests so they can try to get elected. We do not have the time to wait around for an election. Project 2025 will be complete by then.

11·6 days agoInbe4 the starter-home priced housing is bought up, demolished, rebuilt, and sold as luxury housing on the market, as airbnbs, or rentals with no rent control.
Invest in public transit, HSR connecting southern Ontario cities, and rezone/build bikeable/walkable neighbourhoods with increased density. Bonus for rent control and affordable non-market housing. Basically do the opposite of Ford’s attempt to turn Ontario into one big 401.
This is the way.

That’s a reasonable thing to say, but not to trans people who are being actively persecuted by the US government. I cannot imagine how difficult it must be in that situation and it is the responsibility of society to stand up for trans people.

Garbage take. Celebrate neither. Do protest, but not in celebration of the horrendous slaveowner politician or the military which has been an imperial menace for generations and is now being used to threaten neighbouring countries.

Fuck tankies too. Many Canadians are understandably concerned that a guy slightly to the right of the status quo which gave rise to Poilievre is not going to make anything better for us.
To be fair, we basically just elected a Biden-style neoliberal who is slightly to the right of Trudeau. As affordability continues to gradually decline, our Trump (Poilievre) or a similar guy will be even more empowered. We’re basically a few years behind the USA right now and your right are actively trying to speed it up.
Carhartt’s billionaire CEO can pressure the Trump regime to stop attacking our sovereignty if they want the boycott to end.
In the meantime, I have no concern for Carhartt’s bottom line when we have Big Bill and Tough Duck as alternatives.
