Gaming@beehaw.org•Remember episodic gaming? Former Telltale devs are bringing it back for the release of Dispatch, and there's a chance it might work this time | Eurogamer
8·1 month agoI remember how it never worked in the way devs intended it to - a way to create smaller games in scope, that kept development costs and times low.
It always seemed to spiral out of control after the first episode.

Buy European@feddit.uk•Vimeo to be acquired by Bending Spoons for $1.38 billionEnglish
441·1 month agothis is not a good thing. Bending spoons is where services go to die. Their playbook is: First lay of absolutely everyone you can, then maximize monetization until you’ve bled the stone dry, then move on to the next service.
Sad to see them gobble up Vimeo

Steam Deck@sopuli.xyz•With over 150,000 wishlists Easy Delivery Co. is now Steam Deck Verified
2·2 months agoI had the same experience, but it all depends on the price for me. If it’s around 5 bucks for a couple of hours it’s fine by me.
I don’t think the gameplay loop will carry the game for all that long, without overstaying its welcome anyways.
When are they going to re-add the wake on Bluetooth for the older LCD models? That’s the only thing I’m waiting for.
The game isn’t really anything special, but the water physics are very neat. It’s also on PC, where you can play it in 4k (gameplay and story is still shallow there as well though)
Just wanted to say thanks for your posts and seeing as it’s almost like a blog ask: is there a way to subscribe to these posts on lemmy in a RSS reader?

Games@lemmy.world•How do you keep track of what games you have played over the years?English
6·5 months agohttps://www.backloggery.com/ might be the least modern looking game tracking site, but it’s the only one I found which gives you a yearly breakdown of your started and beat games, that’s way I use it.

Thanks dev. Great app. It’s appreciated!
