  • There certainly is a lot of astroturfing going on, but a lot of the fools I know online who are throwing coconut trees in their handles aren’t DNC bots. There is genuine excitement for her. She appears as a clean slate. She’s been silent as the grave for the past four years, to such a degree as she isn’t seen as Biden’s biggest cheerleader. She hasn’t voluntarily gone out of her way to publicly eat shit every day the way many confidently wrong Democratic figures and administration spokespeople do.

Any awful shit the Biden administration is responsible for can be conveniently blamed on him, while any good things which came to pass in the past four years can be appropriated. People fill in the blanks (and they are enormous blanks) with whatever they want to believe. It isn’t much different from how many of us felt about Bernie in 2016 and 2020.

I’m not saying she’s a good candidate either. I agree with pretty much everything @DesertComrade@hexbear.net says here. I just think things have gotten so much more bleak in the past four years. Our standards have been lowered to such a degree, that THIS is what inspires people.

  • Ideally no one gets hurt along the way: Maybe grandpop refuses to give up his license, drives into an oak tree, and only the car gets totaled. But sometimes there are casualties: Maybe a pedestrian gets hit. President Joe Biden, 81, is acting like one of history’s most negligent and pigheaded leaders at a crucial moment, and right now, we are all pedestrians.
