Yeppers, me too. Lots.

Yeppers, me too. Lots.

I was gifted a beautiful painted rock from a nurse who had been helping me for the few months I was in hospital. She gave it to me as a present for leaving. Wonderful lady

I just rotated my bedroom 180 and hung up a bunch of personal art and things on the biggest blank wall.
I haven’t decided if the rotation is better but I’m happy with the art wall

What if mine was clouds? But dinos are still cool. Hmu for them sauropods

Pamukkale in Turkey.
It’s a really cool hot springs area where the minerals are super saturated in the water and so deposit out in calcium carbonate. Over time it becomes travertine. But just the location itself looks super interesting.
In a similar vein, the salt flats in Utah. When there’s been a rain and there’s standing water over the flats, it becomes a huge reflection - absolutely fantastic set piece for both some unique RP or for a really interesting battle.

Thanks for the tip

Yeah that’s how it’s been for me too. I left for Lemmy and deleted my 15 year account too when they announced to take down 3rd party apps.
I’ve been visiting the Best Ofs, but this stupid pop up won’t let me scroll at all anymore. So. There’s now nothing for me there.

I saw the reposts and that’s just lazy nonsense.
This was a separate thing of me being frustrated. Coincidental, I suppose ¯\(°_o)/¯
Counterpoint to your military argument - sometimes kids have nowhere else to go. I grew up in a poor, broken household full of trauma. No one in my family knew how to apply for college, nevertheless was going to help pay for any single part of it, nor did they give me any foundation to have a life that wasn’t horrible.
So I joined the military straight out of high school. I did my contractual time and left, going straight to college with that sweet GI Bill and a bunch of life experience.
Sometimes these kids don’t really have a choice. It’s survival.

I agree with you. Coming up on at least my second year here and I do love it, but I miss some parts of having the bigger crowd.

I know, I know, reddit sucks ass. I’ve been using firefox with ublock to read the best ofs for the unquenchable need for bullshit drama in my life.
But now it’s not just a pop up saying to use the app, but a full ass unpassable thing. Old Reddit still works, but that’s just another step for something that’s already so not worthwhile.
Welp…

Nyan cat for progress bar???

Ohh yeah, I’m using Löve Solitaire and it has a tonne of games as well. I’ve played probably about 20 or so new varieties I’d never seen before. But I’ll check out that one too

I’ll check it out!

:O
Genius

Ooh that was fun. I usually avoid Klondike because there’s no guarantee of being able to win. But I’ll keep this one around
That sort of smell of decay when the fallen leaves from autumn get a little soggy from early winter rains. Gosh I could just shove it all up my nose
The bark of certain pine trees smell like butterscotch, and pine needles themselves have what I find to be somewhat floral smell.
It’s a wonderful forest smell up in there. So fresh.

Yeah same. Time to grab the ole trusty Moody Blues
Hard to choose just one.
Kim Petras was an absolute blast. Excellent use of the screens and her backup dancers. But pretty raunchy for sure. The people in the crowd here hardly dressed, which was super fun for the energy of the whole thing.
Black Tiger Sex Machine was I think the first show I went to that had egregious use of lasers. What a blast. So many people were dancing like no one was watching - absolutely infectious. The crowd crush got to be wayyyy too much for me though and I had to leave my super great spot.
Shawn James might have been my favorite though. Teeny tiny venue where I was standing on a balcony overlooking the crowd. The first band to play turned up the energy and then Shawn James came out and it was practically spiritual. If you’ve seen Sinners where the camera is going through the barn and the different dancers are all there and everyone and everything is kinda blending together? It was like that. Watching the crowd move as one to the beat and being surrounded by that energy and the music where we were all so crammed in together? Probably the only time I’d use the term psychedelic to describe a real experience.
