Hallo ich mache Philosophie, Technik und Gesellschaft.

uhh, abstract depictions of awkward stuff can make it less awkward :)

goodness we need a blog or something lol
lemmy is your blog now

they’re on every train station in austria

i would just explain it as “straight lines in space that transport information. so you know what’s happening in another location as long as there’s a straight empty line between you”.

yeah marketing meetings are especially bad. my take is that the inherent dishonesty in marketing should make any honest sane person revolt against it. you’re stuck in a hard place because you have to play the game of “lying to the customer” along with them.

lol your brain is on a rollercoaster and doesn’t know where up and down is in that moment. so you confuse the light with darkness and want to drown yourself into it.
aaah arabic scripture is just so beautiful
what does “flare” mean in this context?
uhm i’d recommend something that doesn’t break into sharp edges in case of malfunction.
The increased chance of birth defects seems a bit immoral.
one could ask the question whether inbreeding is fine as long as it’s exclusively non-productive sex, i.e. they don’t make any children. some people have sex just for enjoyment.
3D refers to the technology, not the content

ah interesting. on a rather unrelated side note, i’ve been thinking about how to source food on mars. i came up with this idea to use spirulina algae as they are calorie-rich.

they could be grown in a plastic bag outdoors something like this, not requiring big bulky greenhouses:

anyways they have low fat content. so how to source fat? i’m still looking for a good option. it’s interesting to see that apparently, already back in roman times, a source of fat was considered highly valuable. maybe because it’s always more difficult to source fat than carbohydrates and proteins?
European countries do not have the puritan culture of the US but also don’t share the Japanese tolerance of lolicon.
many french philosophers around 1930 asked for the legalization of relation to minors. they failed probably mostly because of american influence. america, in turn, has very repressive views about sexuality in general, not just involving minors. think of the purple scare. i think it has to do with the church of england thinking that “sexuality is bad because it represents the serpent” from the tree of life while the bird represents knowledge, so people should study and seek knowledge instead of seeking sexual interactions.
i wonder whether there’s a filtered anime streaming platform for western audiences specifically.
also at that point why would you bother with anime at all? just watch western cartoons / animations, there’s many of them too.
oh i can very much relate to that. i used to love 20th century anime because it was based (think of princess mononoke for example). nowadays it all feels like they’re re-iterating the same theme 200 times over: boy and girl meet in highschool, the boy wears a suit and is somewhat ambitious while the girl is clumsy, talks with a high voice and is somewhat into the main character. i get that that’s probably many high-schoolers fantasy, but damn it feels a whole lot like normalizing the american dream. “you just have to work hard, then you can make it”.
