Can be trained and not a gift, agree.
But just cos you got experience does not mean you got “it”.

Lot of complaining for issues that are easily side stepped, but maybe cos I’ve learnt it all already, but it does fill the article with lots of words.
The byo compute and logs thing is half the rant which has never even been a problem for me in the last 4 years on GH.
Not sure between config and programming? You literally can choose that yourself.
Biggest issue for CI for me is how to get CI secrets locally… which I don’t know a good answer for.
Nix is great but try getting your whole team / org on it…

What’s your solution to handle secrets locally?

Fair, but atleast they do didn’t have to pay anybody for the “license” to use it.
Other commenter is mentioning M1 performance… Not bad.

Christians went to Greece and Moslems stayed in Turkei around the same time so maybe they wanted the split so it was more Turk in identity.

Ok fair… Maybe I don’t care about user data so much it seems… Only config :p

I wanted btrfs for ages for snapshots… Then I moved to nixos with Declarative config… Then I needed to move partitions to extend my drive into old root, decided to move to btrfs from ext4 cos why not at the time… Only afterwards do I realize snapshots aren’t that helpful when you’re on nixos… Or am I missing something?

LocalSend
still there on Thinkpads

Bit early for April fools :(

Hong Kong has nice cheap electricity… Pretty much everyone drives electric, charge at night on low cost rate.

When QR codes? I just got back from china and that shit is amazing. No need for crazy nfc stuff or special device… Phone and you’re done. Some shops didn’t even have registers… Just a phone.
They didn’t even have visa or MasterCard terminals plugged in.

Also no cars after 23:00 was a thing in some towns too. You could still drive but if caught you’d pay a fine. Might be cool again.

True, I’ve got a nice ceramic hario but I do have to say aeropress is a bit different and more versatile.

Went down this exact rabbit hole this weekend except I’m looking for used.
My list: (with different pros and cons)
Fuji x100 Vii
Leica something
Lumix gx9
Sony rx100 ii (no interchangeable lens)
Canon g7x III (no interchangeable lens)
These are the small ones… I would even say the Fuji is too big. Anything more than a pancake is also not small enough (which is sometimes limiting) hence I listed the last 2.

The filter machine at that price got plastic?

Hamilton is back with the flat floors. Nice to see.
Good track this one too, love the turn 1-3 sequence.
I would say if you can’t see how smart they are you’re lower on the curve.
