    Finally a critique of AI that I can get behind. I’ve never bought into the idea that the tech itself is bad. And I’ve also never bought into the idea that training these models was somehow theft. But they are trained on the human compendium, so we should all have rights and a stake in their use more broadly in society and industry.

      Precisely. AI should be free and open source common good, not a plaything for the capitalist class.

    The only way to get that in our current system is to form a #union before it’s too late.

    Why do these people always stop short? They recognise the system is the problem, yet the conclusion they reach is to continue fighting within it, instead of fighting to abolish it. It’s just so fucking frustrating…

      Ideally they’d do both.

      Fight to get the best out of the current system as that benefits them today, and fight to change it long term to benefit them forever.

      Also it’s probably easier to get chuds on board, who can be further radicalised once they see the fruits of their fighting.
