Should we be surprised?

Well no.

Gods help me but I laughed. But yeah, it definitely isn’t a surprise that so many of the people who want to join the police force – even in countries where it isn’t as incredibly broken and twisted as the US – are exactly the sort of people who should have absolutely no power over others. A profession that gives you free reign to use violence on people and then know that you’ll be protected by “the system” is going to attract more terrible people than “good” people
