If you struggle with buying too much stuff just because it is on sale: remember that when you don’t buy during sales and only buy what you want to play immediately, even full price, you are paying less overall.

There is just no point in hoarding. Whatever you bought and didn’t play immediately is gonna be on sale again. So either play it within the next two weeks or so or don’t buy.

And often with even greater discout. So mny games I bought on sale because of courseI will play them, never did and are now available on sale for fraction of the price I paid

I’ll throw a caveat on certain things that get delisted…this is my biggest poison on Steam. Just grabbed Forza Horizon 4 because of its announced delisting in December.

        Otherwise tbough, solid advice!

Mixed feelings on that since games that get delisted often get delisted because some critical servers they depend on are going offline.

I’m not sure if that applies to Forza … but personally the last thing I want is something that’s about to be delisted.

Also NEVER pre-order, NEVER buy a game when it’s new. Wait until it’s finished (usually about a year after release).

Because it annoys me deeply when people nerd out over difficult-to-search-for acronyms without ever bothering to explain it for people not in the know:

The web comic’s called “the Parking Lot is Full”.

It ran from 1993 to 2002, and while the original site has been down for years, you can still browse parts of it via archive.org.

I would like to find the full uncensored archive. There were some amazing comics they self censored.

PLIF gets so little recognition or love, yet it was a banger. By far the strangest comic I’d ever read. Only Oglaf and PBF seem to approach it’s depth of madness / quality work combination.

They’re still never as good as they used to be. I don’t think the deals have been as good since they stopped doing the timed deals during sales.

I enjoy the cards and badge crafting a lot though. Flash sales were really fun back in the day, but I’m glad not to have to worry about the FOMO anymore.

Yeah I can understand the FOMO but i rarely ever get anything on sale during these big ones anymore because they’re never as substantial since the flash ones were always a significant discount
