Can’t say for Romania, but as for Poland, our governments and politicians always are desperate to be noticed and apreciated by US which led to tons of ridiculous incidents like when their organised Iran conference, destroying our pretty good relations with Iran and all business deals only to be chastised by Pompeo. or when president Duda went to Washington and didn’t even recieved a chair, he signed some vassal deals when standing, with stupid grin on his face. or when superpresident Kaczyński was told nobody have time to meet him and kissed the doorknob on several occasions. Or when every government begged Obama and Trump for sending some troops to occupy Poland. Or when making multiple ridiculously one-sided deals to buy weapons from USA. And so on and on and on.
