There is such a huge difference between a VFX artist using generative AI to create a background texture vs a whole scene yet it pretty much all of it gets lost in reporting. Any use of machine learning makes you irredeemable in the eyes of the internet warrior.
Everyone without industry experience is up on their high horse. The VFX industry used AI loooong before we started calling it that. Hell, Photoshop had Content Aware Fill in 2010! That’s machine learning, AKA “AI”
