I got the dying of old age from waiting part down! I might give it another go after my X4 kick fizzles out.
I tried a few times and I think I got to trigger happy on shifting the government to socialism and each time started a civil war. The one was called for imo since I was attempting to dismantle the monarchy or whatever in like year 2 of that session.
i did the same on my first test games. then i realized you really have to do the Marxism steps properly.

i think someone linked the fitgirl pack on here. it has all the dlcs. and there’s a link to a russian site with the latest updates. just have to do google translate to make navigation easier, download and patch.
but no rush it isn’t going anywhere! i get library paralysis basically constantly my ADHD has me basically obsessively playing 1 out of 100 games for months and months
I already have the game and I think all the DLC, so that’s not an issue. Also I’m not sure if the repacks are easy to get running on Linux. I suspect I can sideload them as a “non-Steam game” probably but never really tried it.
I have run it through wine using lutris, been a few weeks, but seemingly no problems as I remember
I did get Ship of Harkinian working in a similar manner so i supposed it would work. Might test some this weekend since I’m bored to tears.
Proton is WINE underneath anyway so it sounds like it should work.
