Isn’t the first entry in “Excellent” (goes by Cody I think) a rabid anti-Stalinist? I think he was the guest on the episode about Stalin on Behind the Bastards.

Yeah but like 90% of what he says is legit, and well researched - to the extent that liberal institutions will allow, anyway

Would have been nice if they hadn’t used a book by an anti-communist that equates Stalin to Hitler (Kotkin) as source. But if that’s fine with you then it’s fine with me.

to the extent that liberal institutions allow the guy has fantastic points about the structure of society under capitalism etc, if you need every single person that you listen to to have the exact same opinion as you and can’t extract relevant information from anyone else, that’s actually your problem and not anyone elses x

    Hakim is okay.

He minimized the Russo-Ukrainian war a “conflict between two capitalist countries” and claimed that he only supports the working class, which is an empty platitude derived from an idealist interpretation of the conflict.

So yeah, I mean - none of these people are really bold enough to fully reject American propaganda.

How is he wrong about that, exactly? It’s not like Putin woke up and said “ya know let’s do a war”

The only thing I dislike about Hakim is the special pleading towards religion being safe against Dialectical Materialism and any criticism whatsoever in general…

You gotta meet people where they’re at. Religion was never banned under the USSR or anything, in fact right to religion was constitutionally guaranteed, nor did Marx advocate for destroying it, so I’m wondering why you think this.

Well, a honest, materialist and historical approach to religions in general without the goggles of indoctrination, where core believes go against Materialism and after classist goals towards protecting Sacerdotal Class.

We could discuss this somewhere else since even here religion is incredibly protected instead of having a sincere criticism and I don’t want to get banned.

Also, being a cult survivor made me sensitive in the subject.

Wait a minute. Lenin did forbid (and for extremely good reasons) religion under the USSR and even they had atheist classes in school… Or is this some sort of religious apologists against communism? Also, Marx was an avid anti-religious and Dialectical Materialism literary is a phylosophy /science that goes against anything God-related except how material interest made people invent gods such as Yahweh, Enki or Amaterasu.
