I’m just asking in order to judge interest in whether anyone would be interested in joining a furry/anthro community here in Lemmygrad.
The community itself would focus mainly on art, suits/suitmaking, discussions of important topics within the community such as the LGBT element, along with memes, sonas, discussion/events such as furcons and meetings, and as a place to find general community with fellow furs.
The space will take a staunch leftist stance, so all will be welcome without discrimination, and reactionaries, trolls, and negative elements will not be tolerated unlike places such as Reddit.
Would anyone be interested in a community like this? : )
While it is a community I’ve never particularly cared for, I see little reason not to do so. Those that are interested will engage in the community more, whereas those that it bothers can simply block it. I see only good from this, outside of the possible backlash from those that do not understand, or care to do so.
Thank you for your insight friend. I’ve been going back and forth with myself over this idea for a while, but I think your case for not giving the negative to much credence and simply going through with the idea really convinced me.
Though I do agree with the backlash sentiment, and do plan to be as open and educational as I can to people who might not understand or be misinformed. However I do also plan to be extremely active in policing against negative sentiment especially when its unwarranted or done only out of malice.
That’s great to hear, I wish you success!
