Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has insisted that it would be premature to label the team as a title contender in F1, despite a promising start to the 2025 campaign.

They’re probably the second best team, so they’re in a good position. They might find something to close the gap to McLaren. Last year it seemed impossible that anyone would catch up to RBR (well, Max) and look how that turned out.
