The Dame trade brought 33yo defensive specialist Jrue Holiday to the young, rebuilding team that are the Blazers.
I think he’ll be traded as soon as possible during the season, after he mentored the youngsters for a few months.
Phila (with Harden to LAC) is a possibility, don’t think Miami will do anything special, then? Who needs him more (and has the pieces to get him)?

I agree that the PHI/LAC/POR trade is the most obvious right now, but I’m not sure I actually believe it will happen. If Portland is patient some front office will convince themselves they’re contenders and Jrue is a perfect fit for those teams.

I think Atlanta is an interesting possibility! Jrue and Snyder would be a fun combo, but I’m not sure if Portland would want Murray.

do you think the Murray experiment is already done? That would make Young look very bad imo

Tbh I never believed in the Murray experiment, so that may be clouding my view. I don’t think Young is necessarily the problem, I’m just not sure how to build a team around him. The Hawks games I watched last year didn’t impress me much, but maybe the coaching change will be enough!

I just remembered that they already signed Murray to 4/$120M, which I think kills my trade. Pretty sure he’s not eligible, and I doubt Portland wants that long term money.

Celtics actually have picks to invest and could finagle the cap space to make it work but it’d take someone headed out to get a trade exception.
