This is a RCA remote I bought from Walmart. It seems to require a proprietary app. Has anyone had any luck with this device or similar devices?

Edit: it doesn’t work with Bluetooth so no

    In the old days (before CEC), I used to program in new remote controls (I moved a lot) using LIRC and a IR sensor.

    I’m assuming that this remote has IR but I don’t know if you can use that as an input device via Bluetooth.

    edit: oops, I didn’t see that this post was a bit old - hopefully you got it working
