It seems to only affect GenZedong and not other communities

If a mass-downvoting is all it takes to be called a raid, then liberals have grown more effete on the net than expected

I am wondering, how exactly could this happen, when signups on Lemmy and Lemmygrad require moderator approval, exactly in order to prevent someone from making tons of accounts and spamming with them. Are we, once again, federated with an instance that doesn’t? I think Lemmygrad admins should investigate, since while the downvotes are just a mild nuisance, it’s certainly easy to do way more malicious kinds of spamming.

It’s probably bots/alt-accounts from another instance. By default you federate with anyone on the fediverse. I remember a while back there was this one instance with sus accounts that kept spamming our feed by cross-posting reactionary shit to lemmygrad.
