I’m sceptical that they just turned on logging(even if they were legally obligated) and did not write that they have to do so if the police forces them. They claim that this is not possible for their vpn service though.
I’m also quite sceptical to the fact that Proton is trying to everything, mail, storage, vpn and now password management?

They didn’t give out anything. It’s called a search warrant.
My point still stands, they keep logs.
As a general statement that is incorrect. That was a specific case where they were legally compelled to give what they could, the default is no logs.
