This is the first inaugural post for this community, a place I wanted to make to
help everyone find games and friends that they’ll enjoy for years to come. I
hope each and everyone of you find the games and groups you love and will tell
stories about for years. I hope you all laugh, cry, live, love, forge
friendships, have epic battles, win epic loot, and have a place that no matter
the world or circumstances around you, you have a place where you feel you
belong. Now with all of that out of the way, sit back, relax, and go find new
adventures with new friends in all of your brave new worlds!
You might have better luck on a discord, r/lfg on reddit, or somewhere like your local gaming store if at all possible. Sorry you got downvoted but none of the d&d communities view this type of thing as a legitimate post that’s within the bounds of the rules.

But why is trying to make an “r/lfg” style community here on lemmy a bad thing?
It isn’t. It’s just not what the d&d community here is for. If you have another friend to play, I’d be happy to facilitate a one shot or two.
Thanks for the offer, but I’m already full up on games I run and play in. So perhaps next time!
