And honestly good for them. I regularly hurt my back and neck now I’m older.

Especially with some places post covid or for security setting the tills behind glass windows it looks awkward as fuck reaching and leaning even a small amount but for 8 hours 5 days a week or whatever the shift pattern. You really don’t know what that does to you until it comes for you.

Those over 30 mainly still bag for me but with my physical health, I wouldn’t last even half a day. I would have to refuse on those grounds and have no doubt I’d get it in the neck from some customers, and management.

    basic movements like putting things in a bag, really shouldn’t be ruining your body…

    also your post reads like you’re happy that they aren’t doing it… but then you go on to talk about how you can’t do it and appear to want it to be done… it’s very confusing

      It will if you do it all day every day at awkward angles. Like I said tills have been redesigned so it’s not like it was.

      Yes I’m saying I’m happy to bag my own shopping because I only have to do it once per trip. I think it’s a good thing staff choosing not to injure themselves.
