There’s a construction site opposite my apartment and the workers kept walking up the grass patch instead of using the stairs.

      Heh, this reminds me of a university many years ago that would actually build new paths based off the “desire paths” that were created by students. Turns out it was really effective and reduced the amount of dirt paths. Wish more places would think that deep about such a small thing.

      Ha. Awesome.

      Our local parks board is wiser. They did the green space and left it grassed, it also had a sloped section down to another level. They came back years later and made the gravel path where the grass was warn out, and installed stairs where the slope was worn.
