Hello everyone one !!!,

I hope you’re all doing okay …i know i disappeared for a while and some people were wondering what happened after our last travel updates.

before everything changed, we were in the final stages of preparing for resettlement to canada and trying to raise support for vaccinations before travel.

then me and some of the girls were taken by unknown people after leaving an IOM appointment in juba and for a while everything stopped. survival became our main focus and i honestly didn’t know how to continue updating people during that period.

thankfully we survived and made it back safely.

since then I have been trying to reconnect with IOM and our case workers so the process wouldn’t completely stop for us.

a few days ago we started receiving emails connected to our travel documents and later that same day our case worker called to tell some of the girls to stay ready because IOM may pick them for travel around the 14th of this month.

it finally feels like things are starting to move again after a very frightening period for all of us.

right now we are still trying to raise around $ 1212 for vaccinations and vaccine cards needed before travel for the remaining girls. even a small contribution of $5 or $10 helps bring them closer to this new beginning.

I’m coming back to this community because I know many of you care deeply about refugees and queer people who are still trying to find safety after years of danger and displacement.
