I know server space and bandwidth and payroll + benefits for programmers aren’t free, and apple isn’t a non-profit like my local food bank and homeless shelter.

But I’m also not thrilled about ads invading apple maps.

I don’t know how to square the circle though.

my iphone excludes apple maps.

It will be interesting to see if these ads roll out to earlier versions of the app. I have no plans to update anytime soon.
