I was concerned about this as well when looking to install a bidet solution, to the point where I put it off for years.
For context, I live in Sweden where the water in the cold line gets quite cold during winter.
I then read that you don’t really have that much temperature-related sensation in the place where it matters for the bidet, and finally decided to test the theory and bought a cheap model (~€75) that just attaches to the water inlet for the toilet, i.e cold water.
I can confirm that it is indeed the case that you can’t really tell that it’s cold water being applied. You’re just not that sensitive to it in that place.
I have not looked back at all since I bought the thing. Two squares of toilet paper is basically always enough to get me incredibly clean with the help of the bidet. It’s fantastic. I highly recommend you get one.
