It would be pretty cool if we had an HIV vaccine in my lifetime. In the 80’s-90’s when I was in elementary school I remember parts of the AIDS quilt was being toured in the gym. I would be amazing if we have a viable safe HIV vaccine in my lifetime.

Neat. No indication that this will help prevent the spread of or impact from infection, but it’s a cool step. There’s no indication it won’t do those things either though. I suppose that’s what the human trials will include.
