Question for you all-- do non-Francosphere songs, including from adjacent French-speaking countries, hit the same as others, more familiar?
Une question pour vous tous : est-ce que les chansons qui ne proviennent pas de la francosphère, y compris celles des pays francophones voisins, ont le même impact que les autres, celles que l’on connaît mieux ?

À quoi tu penses ? Dans les années 80, on a eu quelques artistes québécois qui ont rencontré un certain succès (Diane Tell, Céline Dion).

I might have phrased this question wrong, I don’t know. If I could describe my real frustration, it’s that we don’t hear enough awesome French pop songs in the States, and I hate it.
Some of my favorites are Lewis Ofman and Polo & Pan, but there’s also VIDEOCLUB and many others…
