Sadly, I think you have to go way back when for modern gens to remember Jacques Cousteau. I feel like he kinda diminished sharply in public consciousness by ~1980.
The Bill Murray movie was a pretty funny tribute, though. “Life Aquatic” or something.
I used to watch Jacques Cousteau on PBS as a kid in the 80s.
I did too, but Undersea World ended back in 1976 on ABC. Reruns on PBS had a fractional viewership.
