    What’s funny is I tend to believe the average Utahn cares about air quality. They have some insanely toxic air when inversions set up in the valley.

    But they keep electing politicians that run heavy industry (copper mining, steel smelting, oil and gas refining) in that selfsame valley with 0 oversight.

      So the common theme is that the people that make the most profits out of polluting industries are manipulating the society.

      If l spoke to local people about their house chimney’s smoke emissions, generally, they’d say the same rhetoric as they did ten years ago, such as “we have to keep our house warm”

      I’d say “if your home was adequately insulated you could use a heat pump!”

      If these people don’t demand a change, I expect it will be the BS narrative in another ten years.
