    The moment the convo stop being via text i am so cooked, i just cannot talk IRL without stammering(i also have those embarassing moments where i often forget a word in my language but not in english…)

      Believe it or not, that’s not really a disqualifier to competitors. The sport is pretty professional and uses a way different skillset than people realize, fluent unbroken english not being one of them

        Yeah umh, the problem is that in real debates IRL people will interrupt you often and i fucking hate that, gimme me time i need to process things!

          In an argument they will. That’s not really what I’m talking about though, arguing is never not stupid, people do it just to debase themselves in front of their acquaintances in the hopes that they’ll drag someone else down in the process.

          Check this out, you don’t have to watch the whole thing. But these people are the best in the world. The competition is formal and has a system, you aren’t allowed to only debate things you personally support, there is no interrupting or rude behavior because people actually want to win for their universities.
