Am I allowed to draw a parallelism with last year’s elections in Italy? More than 50% of Argentinians have Italian ancestry, no wonder they naturally lean towards fascism.

Libertarianism and facism are two different can of worms there’s no lines to connect here generally libertarianism is.more left wing but you can also get right-libertarianism as well while facism is completely alt-right smack dad right at the top

Libertarianism is essentially putting it as simply as I can is where a state or plot of land may split into little self governing microstates
And fascism is an established one party totalitarian state which has complete and utter control of there population might I add the complete and utter opersite of libertarianism. Your free to read the Wikipedia for both they’ll explain it better than I ever could

        Why the downvotes?

Saying “Nazism and Comunism are the same because National-Socialism” has the same academic rigor as saying “Liberalism, the convert name of Fascisim”.

        Nothing alike.

Hold whatever opinion you want regarding any of those ideologies, but at least make the effort to base your opinion on something.

In principle, libertarianism is very different from fascism. In practice, a lot of people who call themselves libertarians are just fascists who are worried about losing the freedoms that benefit them personally, but are happy to take away other people’s freedoms.

Rothbard/Friedman libertarians, neo-libertarians, are 100% fascistic in tendency. They’re also 100% non libertarian oxymorons. But unfortunately, those posers are the only sort of libertarians. Many people in western societies are exposed to. Largely due to astroTurfing campaigns by fascistic wealthy individuals. Who’ve stolen the term and subverted its meaning completely. Because if your average person actually understood actual libertarian goals etc. The stolen hordes of wealth that many of these people hold would be directly threatened.
