Much of Tulsa has been w/out power since Sunday and our already bad drivers and learning about 4-way stops at non-working stoplights.
Why is so much of Tulsa without power for 3 days and counting?
We had a really bad thunderstorm blow through the city on Saturday night. We’re talking 100mile per hour winds. (for comparison an F1 tornado is about 86-111MPH winds).
Unlike a tornado which generally tends to cut a small swath, this was a full blown storm that cause severe wind damage across a very wide area.
My ETA for power restoral was the 24th but has been moved to tomorrow so my fingers are crossed lol.
oof, not sure of the temps there, but as someone who has lived with long power outages after hurricanes, I feel for ya! Stay cool and I’ll be crossing my fingers for ya too.
Thanks, it’s been upper 90’s and humid so pretty hot. Just got an update that they might have us on tomorrow night
How can you have stop signs on all of the roads? Who has priority then?
“At a four-way stop, all vehicles must stop. The first vehicle to reach the intersection should move forward first. If two vehicles reach the intersection at the same time, the driver on the left yields to the driver on the right. If facing one another both can proceed with caution, watching for possible turns.” But the real fun begins when all 4 cars arrive at the same time! I personally like the Reno 911! Rule of thumb: G&R - Gun it and Run it
