I never really liked his attitude on TV when races were discussed. Typically Dutch to consider themselves the expert after racing one season, and then provide the weirdest takes saying they know the drivers very well. As a Dutch person myself I hope I’m allowed to say that.

I didn’t follow F1 so closely 10 years ago so I wasn’t fully aware of the circumstances. I’m not happy about the retirement; this probably means he will have to stick his face around more often to stay relevant.
