I agree. It could’ve done a bit more original stuff with megumin. They had a bunch of jokes about her going past the other characters but after the first one they could’ve stopped. Really seemed like a rehash of the first series.
I just have no interest in a mage that casts literally one spell a day and passes out completely. It “works” in the main series because there are other characters, but really that joke was played out for me in the first idk 5? Times they did it.
Nice. The Megumin spin-off has been a letdown for me, I’m glad to see the main series popping up again.

Yeah I wasn’t that big on the spinoff either. I watched 3 episodes so far and haven’t really felt compelled to keep going.
