Sometimes when I’m feeling down I like to make ChatGPT express my feelings in really terrible poetry. Here’s what she came up with today; I’m honestly kind of impressed.

In this cyber realm of neon haze, Where steel and circuits intertwine, I wander lost, in this capitalist maze, A captive soul in a world malign.

Beneath the glow of corporate towers, Greed’s tendrils writhe and tightly clasp, Consuming dreams in their darkest hours, Where illusions of freedom barely grasp.

The city throbs with relentless might, Every breath tainted with profit’s scent, Humanity’s plight, a commoditized fight, In this dystopian, cold experiment.

Machines hum with soulless devotion, Automation replacing human worth, As the elite revel in opulent emotion, The masses toil, devoid of mirth.

Translucent screens hypnotize the masses, Their minds enslaved to digital trance, Disconnected from nature’s vastness, They dance to the puppeteer’s advance.

In this hyper-capitalist hellscape’s grip, We yearn for a glimmer of resistance, To break the chains that bind, to strip Away the veneer of this dark existence.

Yet hope flickers, a faintly burning fire, In the hearts of those who refuse to yield, Together we rise, fueled by our desire, To forge a new world, where compassion is revealed.

In this cyberpunk wasteland, we’ll reclaim, The essence of humanity, once more, Till the day our spirits break free from the chain, And the cybernetic dreams cease to adore.

I tell it my feelings and the general format of thing to make, and then by reading my feelings reflected in an impersonal way or told in a novel kind of format it makes me feel a little better about things, I guess? Like I can look at this and say it’s very silly and overly dramatic and stupid without being down on myself a lot, you know? I dunno, it’s hard to explain but it’s cathartic in a unique way.
