Although I am very happy with the current devices in the 2.4Ghz band, wifi-6 might be a nice improvement.

I think you’re right and shame on me… Nothing is mentioning 5Ghz, jumping to conclusions by me…

I think all their products are 2.4 GHz. The C5 was announced a while back and is supposed to have 5.0 GHz support, but it hasn’t been released yet. Not sure what’s happening with that product.

It’s one of the few things 2.4ghz left on my network. I know 5ghz uses a bit more power, but it would be so nice not to have to run a 2.4ghz network anymore.

        Thanks for letting me know!

I’m curious what improvement would 5Ghz Wi-Fi bring? ESP32 chips typically aren’t seeing bandwidth heavy applications nor are they going to benefit from lower network latency.

I can’t think of an use case where it would be reasonable to trade longer 2.4Ghz signal coverage for the benefits of 5Ghz spectrum.

I would never use 2.4Ghz on a phone or a laptop if 5Ghz is available, but that’s quite different use case.
