    And we finally meet Patrick! He’s got it tough trying to keep Yumiella’s behavior in check. She is just so quick with those monster calling flutes. But, he was able to show off some promising leadership skills that did not escape Yumiella’s notice.

    Speaking of monsters…that CG was rough. I try not to instantly label something that is CG as bad, but those wolf monsters were pretty bad. Here’s hoping that the budget saved from that will go towards animation elsewhere. Yumiella is doing her part by minimizing the facial expressions that need to be animated.

    Sadly no Eleanora this episode other than the ED (which has really grown on me). Something I noticed for the first time this episode is that the ED features more Yumiella than I thought. It’s true that a huge majority of the lyrics are sung by Eleanora, but if you listen carefully with a decent pair of headphones, Yumiella is often singing harmony in the background. This is especially true in some of the choruses. The easiest point at which you can hear Yumiella singing harmony is near the end (1:17 in this video) where Yumiella is singing a descending harmony line while Eleanora is singing the ascending melody. I also looked it up and Yumiella has a lot more lyrics that she sings in the full version of the song.

      Yeah those wolves were hard to look at. Though usually bad CGI like that just means there is a complete lack of budget rather than them saving it for something later. I think the only thing we can expect from the series later is more terrible CGI monsters. I’m glad action is not the hook of the show.

      I didn’t pay much attention to the ED before, but now that you pointed it out, it’s really good. And it fits well both the characters’ personalities and the voice actresses’ comfort zone (Fairouz Ai/Yumiella has a noticeably deeper voice than Rina Hidaka/Eleonora).

    Yumiella optimized the safety out of the leveling system, and everyone is loosing their mind because there isn’t any OSHA like organization to maintain workplace safety and sue her.

    I can’t wait for the comparison between Alicia and the nobles power leveled by Yumiella

    Lv99 power, Lv0 communication skills. She should get a clue that her Spartan training methods would be seen as madness in this world, but nope! Patrick on the same page as her hints that at least people with more experience might get it though.

    I feel really sorry for her in the kitty scene. She just wanted to pet it ;_;

    Lots of butterfly effect; the heroine acting erratically (even not being reincarnated), the three muppets becoming unstable, the principal being replaced, and Yumiella herself training the students. Unless there’s some “narrative force” I think that it’s safe to say that the otome game plot has been derailed completely already.

      The cat scene gives me major Sakaki vibes from Azumanga Daioh.

      As for the butterfly effect, it would be like if that butterfly that flapped its wings was actually Goku appearing in our world. So, it is one hell of a butterfly. One of the things I like about this series is that it doesn’t have some kind of need to constantly try to impose the otome game script back onto the story. It uses the game as a structure to set up a story, but then lets things evolve from there with the crazy characters that are in place. Too many otome/villainess games will have npcs still try to carry out their script from the otome game even if it doesn’t make any sense to do so any longer.

        Fair point on the Goku butterfly. She was supposed to be strong, but not that strong, that soon.

        One of the things I like about this series is that it doesn’t have some kind of need to constantly try to impose the otome game script back onto the story.

        That’s a relief for me. I did read some of this series, but it was a long time ago, so I don’t remember if it forced the otome game script or not.

    I guess in this game’s combat system, stabbing helpless animals does get you as much XP as those that can fight back…

    Good thing those things respawn quickly…

      I think that the game system doesn’t expect you to have the dark attribute, that allows Bind and similar underhanded tactics.
