    In China they actually build stuff. In the West we just talk about it and fly in private jets to extravagant climate conferences.

      To be fair, you can actually install your own photovoltaics. I heat with hardwood and currently make net half of electricity I consume.

      Little things by individuals do add up. Absence of them of them of course does, too.

    Yeah, but does their government convert 1.5 trillion dollars a year in public monies and national debt into defense industry and health insurance industry profits, providing incredible value for shareholders?!

        Whether they’re actually building it or not shouldn’t change how the west reacts to it. instead, we should treat it like we did the MIG-25: assume it’s real and invest in our own systems to maintain superiority.

        Worst-case scenario, we get extra green tech innovation and save the world from global warming more than we intended. Oh darn.
