Although I haven’t flown since the Real ID mandates, I’ve shown up to an airport without my ID and was able to board. There was some additional screening. Like if you’ve ever tried to do a hard credit pull online and they ask you questions like “which of the following vehicles did you own three years ago” style questions.

It was a pain but I made it.

Opportunity to say that I also had this happen but it happened to my sibling who got their wallet stolen on vacation. They were a lot younger at the time so it was one heck of a thing to get on the plane. 30+ minutes each time just for TSA.

Then they’d take them separately to ask questions. Only problem is, they had no idea what the answers were to 90% of them.

      “What car do you drive?”

      “Uh I think it’s a Toyota”

      ”Whats mom’s birthday?”

      ”Its in November”

      ”Whats your neighbors name?”

      ”No clue, but he’s old”

”What year did you graduate high school?”

”Im not sure, I think 2019?”

It was a miracle we made it home.
