    There are non-driver IDs that are equivalent to a driver’s license, but don’t allow you to drive. The real issue is that these are state IDs. We don’t have any national form of ID besides SSN and passport

      Yay for “RealID”? Let’s take the worst of both worlds: state issued ID that has to be compliant as a federal ID and be backed by data infrastructure to agglomerate it all to effectively a national ID

        Yet here we are, delayed by 5 years to even require it as a valid ID for flying. So many wins with this system.
