I can see that there’s a top 10 communities for your local instance but finding more is impossible.

In instances with limited search/discovery the only way I’ve found in any client is the default Lemmy PWA. So if anyone can clue in a dummy I’m all ears.
I have a feeling it’s just the odd contours of the fediverse not getting support from existing git libraries, which should get better over time.
