I’m pretty ignorant about soccer, but why does this matter?
Refs are supposed to focus on the ball, so oftentimes the color of the socks is the easiest way to tell players from two different teams apart. Which foot kicked the ball last, the blue one or the red one?
That’s actually really smart.
