I expected this but now that it happened I realize this is western democracy working exactly as intended. I haven’t really gotten involved in local politics until recently but now I realize how little our vote counts for in the west, especially the US. The chambers were filled with ceasefire supporters. Hell a lot of liberals support it at this point. But the Zionist money must be so good for these city councillors and 99% of US politicians. Of course the pro “Israel” lobby were there but they were completely outnumbered by us. Yet there was only 1 out of 6 that voted YES to a ceasefiee. I feel an immense amount of shame for my city as if there wasn’t enough of that.

I think at this point it’s safe to say that you guys did your part. We know that the interests of the people≠people in government, it’s to be expected.

    Organize a big protest!

Thanks. Appreciate the support. We will keep fighting regardless of the motion and nothing will stop us from having our voices heard.
