its an enco and i cant find much info on it is most likely not more than 2 horse. i dont plan to do any crazy pocketing and REALLY WANT A MILL to match the sexy tractor lathe and use it for hobby projects.
whada u think machinists? i cant imagine it going for more than $500 as its not a knee mill
What’s the lash? In other words, how clapped out is she? Enco is known for making skookum shit but there are hot suppers even venerable Unky Enky cannot swallow.
I’d check the collet to make sure it can still hold fast. Twist the working end back and forth with the gear engaged but not powered on, there should be a little take up before it moves but not too much. Check the gantry and really any moving bits for excess play or wear.
If I were local and could fitter in my shed I’d be a pig in shit to have a nice little hobby mill like that. You’ll have to peck a bit at tool steel bt she’ll happily work harden all the brass you can find to givver
Edit: I just noticed the pull down only tag on the downfeed. I wouldn’t pay more than 550 for it, she’ll need a bit of work.
