    Eh I just know a number of young communists in luhansk that are very salty about it. Mainly the ones that actually fought in the war, not the old politicians. They’re also super nice and trans positive

    My biggest hope was actually that the communists kept their shit together and all the Russian areas of Ukraine made their own little commie thing that is aligned with the economic area of Russia, and I feel like that sentiment is common among younger commies in the area. But obviously it’s just all united russia people now in government

      As I said, in another universe the Donbass would have been sold out by Putin and Russia joining the fascist club of the EU.

      It only didn’t happen because Russia wasn’t allowed entry to the fascist club. This kicks off their cooperation with China and pivoting away from the Western imperial core.
