Can someone link the post explaining that Harry didn’t deserve so much as consideration for a promotion and is lucky that he didn’t lose his commission after some of the shit he pulled?
Not sure about the specific post, but I’ve mentioned before that he doesn’t deserve the promotion considering some of the choices he’s made. Let’s see… the time he got an intergalactic STI after strict orders not to fraternize… then the time he broke the Prime Directive while in command on “late shift” by getting involved in an unaffiliated planet’s civil war. His reward should be a court martial.
I mean, Tom Paris is a convicted terrorist and has abducted and mutated his captain in order to have sex with her. Successfully. And that’s just who immediately springs to mind.

I’m sure every main Star Trek character deserves court martial at some point.

Starfleet is a wild bunch.
It took me years to forget that episode ever existed. Thanks for the re-traumatization.
Was it his goal to mutate and mate with her, though?
By the time he was turning into a lizard, apparently so.
That’s more primal instinct than otherwise. Had he his faculties about him, it wouldn’t have been a consideration.
The whole damn crew should be ensigns by this logic… except for tuvok
